• Kein Display — bewusst. Die Fernbedienung schläft fast die ganze Zeit, und genau deshalb hält der Akku Monate. Ein Bildschirm müsste bei jedem Griff aufwachen und leuchten — das würde diese Laufzeit auffressen. Dazu wäre er ein weiteres Bauteil, das ausfallen kann. Stattdessen hat jede Aktivität ihre eigene feste Taste. Was auf welcher Taste liegt, stellst du einmal am Hub ein — am Handy oder am Rechner. Auf der Fernbedienung selbst gibt es danach kein Menü, durch das man sich klicken muss.
• No display — on purpose. The remote sleeps almost all of the time, and that is exactly why the battery lasts months. A screen would have to wake and light up every time you pick it up — and that would eat right through that runtime. It would also be one more part that can fail. Instead every activity has its own fixed button. What sits on which button you set once on the hub, from your phone or your computer. On the remote itself there is no menu left to click through.
• Bang & Olufsen sendet auf einer Frequenz, die diese Bauart grundsätzlich nicht erreicht. Alles andere lässt sich anlernen — und wenn ein Gerät dabei zickt, steht sein Code in der Datenbank auf dem Hub.
• Bang & Olufsen transmits on a frequency this kind of hardware simply can't reach. Everything else can be learned — and if a device gives you trouble, its code is in the database on the hub.
• Die Sprachsteuerung ist nicht zertifiziert. Sie funktioniert vollständig, aber beim Hinzufügen meldet Alexa einmalig „nicht zertifiziert". Das lässt sich per Firmware nicht abstellen — es ist der Fälschungsschutz des Systems. Die Zertifizierung kostet Mitgliedschaft und Prüflabor und wäre erst fällig, wenn daraus ein verkauftes Produkt wird.
• Voice control isn't certified. It works fully, but adding it makes Alexa show a one-time "not certified" notice. No firmware can remove that — it's the system's anti-counterfeiting check. Certification means membership plus a test lab, and would only be due once this becomes a product for sale.
• Kein fertiges Gehäuse, keine Verpackung, kein Kundendienst. Genau das wäre der nächste Schritt.
